Competition extended indefinitely
The ongoing epidemic makes it impossible today to visit Poland or to do research work in Poland under normal conditions. We do not know when the situation is going to improve. Consequently, the 2020 Krzysztof Skubiszewski Scholarship and Research Grant competition will not be adjudicated by the date announced initially (it was 10 June 2020). It will be adjudicated as soon as the situation makes it possible.
The possibility to submit applications remains open even after the deadline initially announced (it was 8 April 2020). As soon as the new deadline for submitting applications and the new day of adjudication of the competition are determined, we will let you know. Before we begin to evaluate applications, we will ask the applicants to confirm that they are still interested.
The candidates who are ready to apply are invited to do so. Those who are not ready yet, but are potentially interested in the competition, are invited to open accounts in this system (this is a preliminary step before filing an application). While opening an account, you will be requested to provide your e-mail address. We will then send updates about the competition (including the new deadline, hwen it is determined) to that address.

The application form can be filled in English or in Polish. If you have difficulties filling in the form, attaching documents or submitting the form, please contact the Foundation via phone +48 883 188 969 or e-mail: stypendia@skubi.net.
The application form should be filled in completely, and only then should be submitted (the SUBMIT button). While filling in the form, you can save your work at any time (the button with a floppy disc at the end of the form, next to the SUBMIT button). In addition, the system automatically saves your work every 30 seconds. If you interrupt filling in the form, you can get back to it later using the same computer and the same web browser, and your content will reappear (unfortunately, files that you previously attached to the form will not reappear; you will need to attach them again).
Documents (possibly including articles or books) should be attached directly to the application form. If, however, attaching a document to the form is difficult or impossible (e.g., because the document is too big or because you wish to send a book that you have on paper only), please contact us to arrange the way to send the document (electronically or by paper mail).
You can apply by a method other than submitting the form (e.g., by e-mail or by paper mail) only in case of unsolvable problems with the form and only if you get the Foundation’s approval for this.
The receipt of your application form will be acknowledged immediately by this website. Then, within 48 hours you will receive a confirmation e-mail from a person working for the Foundation. If you do not receive these two messages, please contact us, as this may mean that we did not receive your application.
Section Language proficiency: For each language that you can understand, please indicate your proficiency level, according to the scale from A1 to C2 used by the Council of Europe. Language certificates are not required (you can indicate C2 if you are fully proficient, even if you have no diploma or certificate proving it). Please list any relevant additional information or documents regarding your language proficiency (for example, a certificate is attached or three research articles published in English or I studied law in France for a year (master in …) and completed all exams in French, the diploma is attached).
Section Major achievements in the academic field should describe your academic work in a concise manner.
Section Other information at the end of the form should contain all information that does not belong in other sections, yet may help the Foundation assess your application (e.g., information about you effective social or political activities; an unusually positive recommendation by your academic supervisor or by another person).
